Spring Card

Here's a card I made the other day using a mix of Jillibean products.

Spring Card by Kimber McGray

Supplies:
Jillibean Soup Paper: White Bean/Sliced Bacon, Minestrone/Cannellini Beans/Elbow Macaroni, Split Pea/Green Peas
Bean Seeds: Small Harvest Seeds
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co.
Ink: Ranger and Clear Snap
Foam Tape
Brown Pen

Small tip:
To turn the Bean Seed into a tulip, place a glue dot in the center of the flower and fold all the petals up to make the tips touch. Pinch tight to make sure all the petals are stuck to the glue dot. Use another glue dot to adhere the 'tulip' to the card front. Hand draw stems.

Upcoming Events with Jillibean Soup

Hi everyone!

Jill has some up coming events with Jillibean Soup that she wanted to make sure you were aware of, especially if you live in the Central Ohio area.

Today and Tomorrow (March 27th and 28th) -- Jillibean Soup will be at Memories Expo with B&B Scrapbooks. The event is at the Ohio State Fairgrounds.

April 4th -- Pizazz It! in Pickerington, Ohio -- Jill will be teaching a card class from 12-4pm. Please contact Pizazz It! to sign up. 614.501.9566

April 24th-26th -- Weekend Retreat at Zane Trace. A weekend with Jillibean Soup. The retreat is $300 for Friday night through Sunday. All meals included as well as Make-n-Takes and goodies from Jillibean. Come join Jill for a fun filled weekend!

Speaking of Sprouts

Sorry, not the best photos.  I know, I know...who wants to see a Christmas layout right now?  Well, I think the layout could be used for just about any title/idea.  I wanted to showcase the sprouts and I think it does.  I worked on this layout a couple of weeks ago at a retreat with friends.  The photos are of my oldest daughter's 1st Christmas.  They are formal photos and I didn't have too much to say about them so I jotted a few notes on the sprouts and "ta da". 

Products Used:  Sprouts, kraft paper, felt flower, ric rac: Jillibean Soup; Trees:Creative Imaginations; Bling:MAMBI; Clip:Stampin' Up.

Jamie, can you help we with the stamp?  I think it's Technique Tuesday...borrowed from a friend.

Jillibean Soup is being featured at Crafting a Green World.  If you don't know, our kraft paper is custom manufactured and it's made from 100% recycled stock.  Yep, that's right 100%.   The designs that are printed on white paper are recycled as well (10% recycled with the other virgin fibers coming from managed forests).  Some of our packaging is made from recycled products as well.  We are very excited to be able to offer these products to our customers!

Check out the gallery at Two Peas in a Bucket...I see some familiar names and some VERY cool stuff!!!  Love this layout by milkcan - soooo different!  Here's a cute mini card from howdee - love it!Love how Francine used the sprouts for the background for her title on this layout.

A simple card that I thought I would share.  Like many of you, I'm an "Alphabet collector"...you with me?  And with AC's release of the "Thickers", I have 3 times as many letters.  :-)  Love the 3-D effect and the way "hi" pops off the page.  All papers are from the Minestrone collection.

Spring Photo Shoot

Hi All!

Looks like you're stuck with me until our DT gets their product and can start creatin'!  :-) 

I thought I would share this layout with you.  Some of you may have seen it at CHA.  I received lots of comments on the amount of photos on the layout. The photos are all 1X1.5.  I used an old photo editing program where I could select the template and drag and drop photos into it.  I would recommend if you're going to do this that you do it with close-up photos. 

The red in Kami's clothing goes perfectly with the Minestrone line.
