Altered Corrugated Kraft Alphas by Summer Fullerton
Supplies Used:
Jillibean Soup
Patterned Paper: Soup Staples/Black Sugar
Clear Stamps: How Tweet
Kraft Accessories: 12x12 Kraft Paper
Corrugated Alphas Kraft
Alphabeans Cardstock Stickers: Blanched Black
Other: Bazzill/Prism Cardstock, Making Memories Paint, Doddlebug Flocking Powder, Stampendous Embossing Powder, Making Memories Glitter, Colorbox Ink, Staz On White Ink, Fiskars Border Punch, Basic Grey Brads & Typenoksidi downloaded from the internet
Other fun ways to alter your
alphas:
- Paint and dry brush with stickles for a more subtle glitter effect
- Ink plain kraft alphas with chalk ink
- Paint white the NEW white alphas then sand for a white wash look
- Paint with Tim Holtz crackle paint
- Spray with Tattered Angles or Smooch Spritz
- Paint then Glaze for a glossy effect
Designer Tips:
- When inking letters use a chalk ink. The alphas tend to soak up inks such as Stazon.
- Try using a paper piercer to hold on to your letters the metal tip fits right into the natural grooves of the alphas without damaging them.
- The number of coats of paint is up to your discretion.

These are great ideas, Summer. I've tried inking and painting but flocking seems so big right now that I just might have to try it out. The fun thing is that the possibilities really are endless, especially with the new colors available.

Thanks for sharing these ideas! I especially love the idea of the flocking powder! It has been in my drawer for quite a while!
I had an idea for the scrap cardboard leftover from the letters! I made them into a stamp...I put the pictures on my blog.
