Children's Hospital Fundraising Event...

Hi All!  It's Friday!  Yay!  I mentioned last week that I was planning my first fundraising event, yay!  I'm really excited about this.  We've teamed up with one of our local stores here in Columbus and we're having our first "Card Bar".  What's a Card Bar, you ask...well, we will have 10 stations set-up to make 10 different cards/tags (you can make 1 or 10).  The cost of the cards/tags is only $1 each and 100% of the profits go to Children's Hospital Columbus.  Alecia (store owner of B&B) has arranged for refreshments and there will also be some giveaways and a raffle.  I've heard back from many of you who are able to attend and I'm absolutely thrilled!

Friday, June 18th from 6-9pm

Where is it...

B&B Scrapbooks, Powell, OH

What to bring...

Your favorite adhesive and some extra cash for the raffles. ;)

I sure hope you'll stop by B&B on the 18th and help us raise some money for Children's.  I guarantee you'll have fun and get to take home some cute cards too!

Soup Spotting 5.26.10

Kimber's feeling a bit ill these days so you're stuck with me.  If you read my post last Friday then you know that I have been wanting to share some cards that people have sent me.  I LOVE getting handmade cards - especially ones with Jillibean on them...it always makes my day. ;)

First up is a card from Celeste using the New England Chowder line. Adorable!  Love using the mini alphas on the long journaling stickers. 

 

Next we have a card from my friend Heather using one of my first kraft lines - Spicy Pumpkin.  Love the sparkly brad - it pops on the felt flower. ;)

More New England Chowder from Nicole...so cute!  I love to cut out those cars!

Yeehaw from Lain.  Love the stitching and nothing is cuter than pigs on a card! ;)  Love how she used the Chicken Noodle line.

Lisa sent this beautiful card to me.  It has lots of layers and the cutest bird sitting in the birdhouse singing.  Old World Cabbage never looked so good!

Even though it's not Jillibean, it's still adorable!  Thanks Cass!  Love the embossed, inked cardstock!

Sorry all, just realized we haven't picked a winner yet!  Thank you all for the great information!  I'm thrilled to see that so many of you have different Jillibean favorites!  Of course the corrugated alphas win your love but it's great to see sprouts, patterned paper, stickers and ribbon on the list too!

Free For All Friday...

As I'm sitting here at 9:29pm on Thursday evening (entranced in Greys Anatomy I might add), I've realized I don't know what I'm going to post for Free For All Friday?  I have some cards I want to share - beautiful cards that were sent to me as a "thank you" but I don't have pics of them.  We have lots of great stuff coming out for CHA summer but it's way too early start those announcements.  I'm doing my first charity event with B&B Scrapbooks (one of our local stores) but I don't have the "grand" announcement ready.  I don't have any new sketches ready....  Hmmm, what to do, what to do.
