Can you tell I'm excited about Friday? Actually this has been one crazy week and I'm ready for the weekend. My heart goes out to all the southern states hit with bad weather recently. We had some terrible winds the other night that woke me up around 3am...winds that came through my closed windows and made my blinds move. I can't imagine the terror of seeing or hearing a tornado heading your way.
Maybe a little scrappy business can lift you up if you're having a rough week or inspire you if you've got some scrappy time this weekend. Plus, if you read below...you might even see a GIVEAWAY!
Kimber's up first with another card using the Tombow Stamp Runner. Check it out...
First I used the tape runner to add adhesive to the back of the Bean Blossom.
Then I stamped some adhesive in between the ruffles to tack them down.
A fun little embellishment!
Next, I have a layout I want to share. It's a summer layout using Spotted Owl - so versatile. ;)
The Tombow Stamper works well with our new Pea Pods.
Layers of fun. I snuck in a Nikki Sivils burlap buttons - they work so well with Jillibean products!!!!
Anyone notice anything? There's no title (or journaling for that matter)! Titles are the hardest thing for me when it comes to layouts. I need some help with one for this layout. It's summer time, we're vacationing in Maine and this was taken in a trip to Boston. Kami is eating ice cream in Boston Commons and yep, it's melting and running down her face. Anyone have any ideas to share?
If you have a title idea, I would love for you to share it or if you have any suggestions for how you title your layouts, I would appreciate any help!!!
I think I have a pack of Jillibean Core Impressions cardstock and some Spotted Owl goodies to GIvEaWAy if you leave a comment!
Thank you Tombow for the product swap this week!
Have a great weekend!
Jill

I have a hard time with titles too. But when I look at this layout the title "You melt my heart" comes to mind. Love how you snuck in that Nikki Sivils button too!

I am HORRIBLE with titles too!!! Maybe you could try something like Yummy Goodness or something like that, lol, that's what I think of when I see the ice cream on her face, lol :)

Boston Cream 'cutie' Pie

How about "Got Ice Cream?"
Posted by: jennybean | April 29, 2011 at 08:55 AM
Titles are really hard for me, too, since I have mostly been scrapbooking events/trips recently... so I'm pretty uncreative and just say where we are or what the event is.
Maybe for your title you could use something like "Ice Cream Bliss" with a subtitle of "in Boston Commons"

I am kinda glad to see that others struggle with titles also. I really love the you melt my heart title. I would love to have some of this help with my layouts! I have a whole stack of pages that are almost finished...just need titles or journaling.

Oh yeah, another one here who struggles with the titles!! If it were my layout, I'd probably put....Taking time to enjoy the little things. I was thinking along the lines of "time" due to the calendar page used as the background.
Thanks for the chance to win!!

Beautiful layout & picture. I have a difficult time with titles, they are usually very simple. Looks like this little cutie is saying "mmmmmm".

Such a beautiful flower, thanks for the tutorial! And that layout is simply gorgeous! Mm, I'm not that good at thinking of innovative titles....but how about 'Nicer than ice'
Posted by: Romy | April 29, 2011 at 10:01 AM
What about something about "boston [ice] cream..." like boston cream pie. You could squeeze "ice" in there with some tiny letter stickers.
Just a thought. :)
Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

I look at that face and I see "Delight". Very cute layout and the card is wonderful as well.

Love the ruffled addition to the card as well!

I like what everyone else has said- i wanted to play on words with Boston Commons with Kami being uncommon... but cant really think of anything. instead how about "End of a Perfect Day..." or
How do you spell contentment? ICE CREAM!

I'm not great at titles either, I try to use the first thing that pops in my head when I look at the pics...this one made me think "Got Napkins?!".
Posted by: Tammy | April 29, 2011 at 11:14 AM
I'm horrible with titles! So sorry, I'm no help. LOVE the flower tutorial! If I didn't have a sick baby attached to my lap I'd go make one right now.

I struggle with titles and journaling as well. I have horrible handwriting, but I think printed journal doesn't give the personal feel the page needs. Thanks for inspirations!
