Friday, Friday, Friday...

Can you tell I'm excited about Friday?  Actually this has been one crazy week and I'm ready for the weekend.  My heart goes out to all the southern states hit with bad weather recently.  We had some terrible winds the other night that woke me up around 3am...winds that came through my closed windows and made my blinds move.  I can't imagine the terror of seeing or hearing a tornado heading your way. 

Maybe a little scrappy business can lift you up if you're having a rough week or inspire you if you've got some scrappy time this weekend.  Plus, if you read below...you might even see a GIVEAWAY!

Kimber's up first with another card using the Tombow Stamp Runner.  Check it out...

First I used the tape runner to add adhesive to the back of the Bean Blossom.

 

Then I stamped some adhesive in between the ruffles to tack them down.

Next, I have a layout I want to share.  It's a summer layout using Spotted Owl - so versatile. ;)

 

The Tombow Stamper works well with our new Pea Pods. 

 

Layers of fun.  I snuck in a Nikki Sivils burlap buttons - they work so well with Jillibean products!!!!

 

Anyone notice anything?  There's no title (or journaling for that matter)!  Titles are the hardest thing for me when it comes to layouts.  I need some help with one for this layout.  It's summer time, we're vacationing in Maine and this was taken in a trip to Boston.  Kami is eating ice cream in Boston Commons and yep, it's melting and running down her face.  Anyone have any ideas to share?

If you have a title idea, I would love for you to share it or if you have any suggestions for how you title your layouts, I would appreciate any help!!!

Good Thursday! Are you staying dry? Man alive, I am tired of these storms rolling through the midwest. I hope you all have stayed dry and safe over the last week. Let's hope this all ends soon!

Introducing Our New Design Team- Part 4

Today we introduce to you 3 new team members and welcome back our last member to the 2011-2012 Jillibean Soup Design Team. Starting next week you will see projects from the new team to inspire you.

Our 1st new team member to introduce you to today is Julie Bonner. She joins us from Crownsville, Maryland. She's got a style that is simple but interesting. We love the little details she adds to her pages. The hearts on this page are exactly what we mean. How sweet is that? Julie's blog can be found here. She's got a way with sketches. I bet you may see some of them surface here on our blog over the coming year!

Next up is another new team member, Lisa VanderVeen from Santa Monica, California. For those of you that have been around for awhile, you may remember Lisa from the days of Memory Makers Magazine. After a refreshing break she is back to scrapping and we are very happy for that! She's even taken up blogging! The Tombow runner can be used as a traditional runner to apply adhesive.

It can also be used to 'stamp' adhesive on your paper. This is great for just needed a small amount in a specific place.

It's Friday...Lots of stuff going on!!!!

Today, I'm at an indoor waterpark having fun with the family! 

I've got LOTS of stuff to share including a GIVEAWAY!!!! 

First up, I only have 2 more locations to teach at before fall...one is at Scrap Happy in Tiffin, OH (April 30th) and the other is at the Great Lakes Mega Meet in Novi, Michigan (May 5,6,7th).  Both are card classes.  I would LOVE to have you join me!  For Mega Meet, I will be closing the class once registration is done so you'll want to get signed up ASAP!  Also, for Mega Meet we will have a booth with LOTS of Jillibean products, card kits and some great discontinued product kits (at a great price!).  Make sure to stop by and say "hi".  We'll offer make n' takes in the booth at select times as well!

Next up, for those of you that don't know...we have a new line releasing at the end of April!!!!  It's called Watermelon Gazpacho and I received the finished product samples today - they are beautiful!!!!  LOVE it!  If you missed it - you can check it out here.  You'll want to check back next week as we introduce our co-branded Unity stamp sets that coordinate with this collection!!!

Third, our website is undergoing some changes.  If you're a retailer then you've received an e-mail letting you know that we've changed our shopping cart platform.  Please let us know if you have any issues or questions!  We hope that your shopping experience will be more enjoyable with this new platform.  Now, for our consumers - so many of you have e-mailed us asking for product that we've decided install a consumer store.  We plan to go live at the end of the month.  Please note that we will not provide new release products in the store until 4-6 months after their initial release to our retailers.  We do not want to compete with our retailers.  We will offer past card class kits and other fun treasures that you'll love. 

Finally...did I mention a GIVEAWAY?  Most of you know Lori Slawinski creates some of our wonderful projects for the CHA shows.  She also co-owns a kit club called Scrapscription.  She has used Jillibean Soup products in the past and she used it again in their April kit.  Check it out...

Introducing Our New Design Team- Part 3

I have another new design team member to introduce you to and two returning members to welcome back to the 2011-2012 team. 

Nicole Nowosad is from Winnapeg, Manitoba, Canada. Nicole brings a lot of layers and projects with a lot of interest. When you check out her blog you will see what I mean.
