Every Thursday evening I sit down to do the Friday blog post and, like most Friday's, here I am again trying to figure out what to post...
We had more store closings announced in the Columbus area - 3 more in fact. This brings us to 4 announcements in 2 weeks. It's just sad. Really, really sad. One of the stores will re-open in August, which I'm thrilled about and thrilled to meet the new owner. The other 3 will be closed by mid-June. Lana, Sue, Caron & Amy, we wish all of you the best. It's been great working with all of you!
On another note, I'm headed to Iowa on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Headed to visit Jen Harkin and do some blog talk and training! Like I mentioned last week, she's taking over the blog in June. She loves little quirky things like gnomes and scary looking Christmas elves - hopefully we won't see any of that stuff around here. ;) Jen lives close to some fun shops with vintage and eclectic goodies - excited to visit them! Watch out Jen, I'm bringing a second suitcase! Oh, and I get to meet Jen's 2nd daughter - she was very pregnant the last time we visited (meaning she gave birth the day after we left).
Next week we have a big announcement about the consumer site - check back next Friday.
Laina, Nadia and I have been working on new designs for Summer CHA. I'm pretty excited about the paper lines and I think you will be too! Any guesses? How about we do a GIVEAWAY? I know several of you are interested in getting the new collection - Watermelon Gazpacho. If so, leave a comment with your guess(es)... what do you think the theme will be for one or more of the new lines? Kimber or I will pick a winner on Monday!
Good Luck and have a GREAT weekend!

I REALLY want watermelon gazpacho! I am hoping they have it at Archivers. I am going there for a crop tonight! I am going to guess maybe a travel line or a pet line!

I am thinking you are due for a fishing & camping line, but I sure like the idea of a travel line the others have mentioned! Watermelon Gazpacho looks to be one of my faves of yours so far, but haven't been able to collect any yet - so I would love to see it come my way!

Sorry to hear about all of the store closings. I am going to say that you are designing a winter/christmas line with some non traditional holiday colors.
