Soup Spotting 5.18.11

Soup Spotting on Wednesday! And today I was able to actually download and upload images from the comfort of my own house and my own internet. Working from a hotel didn't really work out too well last week. 

For you today, we have a few of the entries for last month's Jillibean Soup challenge over at Two Peas In A Bucket.

Free For All Friday...News and Updates

It's Friday and we've had some summer-type days here this week in Ohio.  Loving the sunshine!

We had some sad news this past week - one of our local stores - B&B Scrapbooks is closing at the end of the month.  I've taught, hosted crops and card bars at this store so I'm sad to see it go.  They've been a great supporter of Jillibean Soup.  We wish Alecia and all the gals great success in all their future endeavors.  With that said, it's a good reminder to support your local scrapbook store.  The industry has taken a hit in the last couple of years with the economy.  If you're able, please support your stores or soon we won't have all this awesome product to choose from. 

Next, on to some more positive news.  Jen Harkin will be taking over the blog posts starting June 1!  Yay Jen!!   No, Kimber's not going anywhere...she's just shifting her talents elsewhere for Jillibean!  Jen's first job was to count up all the comments for the blog blinkie.  Congrats to blinkie #4...it's the winner!!!  And, we finally picked the 2 winners of the Jillibean product (maybe I'll throw in the new Watermelon Gazpacho goodies)!

Another past giveaway.  A couple of weeks ago, I asked for help in titling this layout...

There were LOTS of great ideas!  Unfortunately it looks like most of us struggle with titles - hmmm, maybe a title book should be on my "to do" list. ;)  I decided I like "You melt my heart" the best - it's cute and it suits the photo!  So congrats to Heather!

I have a hard time with titles too. But when I look at this layout the title "You melt my heart" comes to mind. Love how you snuck in that Nikki Sivils button too!
