Happy Friday! All About Cards...

It's Friday and we're heading into a fall weekend here in Ohio!  The temperatures are going to be in the 50's and the trees have started turning colors already.  We may check out an apple orchard on Saturday after soccer.  I see some fall pics coming! 

Anyone know what tomorrow is?  It's World Card Making Day! 

What a great day to make a card for someone!  Send one for no reason at all - that's the best!  I love to make cards - I don't have a ton of time to scrapbook, so cards are my thing.  I went cropping last week at A Crop for All Seasons in Norwalk, OH (a great B&B for scrapbooking).  I'm actually proud of some of the projects I worked on and I'm excited to show them to you in the next couple of weeks.  Since tomorrow is World Cardmaking Day, I'll share a couple of cards here...

Good morning!  I survived the apple orchard trek, but not really the corn pool.  What is a corn pool?  Let me tell you, it was an very large area enclosed by hay bales filled with corn.  It came up to my four year old daughter's knees.  The kids went CRAZY in there.  My daughter was somersaulting, making 'corn' angels, burying herself.....I'm finding corn everywhere:)  Let's talk more about girls!  All of the layouts today showcase girls, but they can easily be 'lifted' for boys too!  Check them out!

Happy Wednesday morning!  I'll be tramping around the apple orchard with my youngest daughter's preschool class.  Nothing's more fun than picking apples with a group of 25 four year olds!  The last time I went, I was waddling around 8 months pregnant.  So, it can't be any worse, right?:)  We've found some great soup spottings today!  Check it out!

Minneapolis Part #2

Happy Friday!  I'm actually on my way to crop this weekend!  Really looking forward to some creative time!

Oh, and by the way - I did NOT get a ticket on the way to Minneapolis. :)  I just received a warning and was told to "slow it down".  Phew!

As promised - more pics from our trip to Scrapfest at the Mall of America!

 

Here's one of Laina's classes.  Laina offered a page and 2 cards using Spotted Owl.  We'll be putting the extras in the store this week and will offer one as a giveaway next Friday!

Check out the huge flip flop!  You can't really tell how big it is by the photo but let's say it would be too big for big foot! 

 

Flips - a store that's all about flip flops!  My kinda store!  When I asked the lady if I could take a picture, she's the one that said I should take one of the huge flip flop.  :)
