From Halloween to Christmas...

I know, crazy, huh!  I promised I'd put these up but didn't want to take away from the fabulous Halloween projects today! 

If you're able, I would LOVE to have you in my Cord Camera class next Monday night (Nov 7th).  I'll be teaching at the Clintonville store and it's NOT too early to start your Christmas cards!  Here's what we'll be making...

Simple gift card holder with snowflake stamps.  We'll be using some Soup Labels for these!

 Tried to have some fun with doilies!  Again, simple but cute!

I know I've posted this before - love, love, love those penguins!  There's a trick to that scallop hole at the top too!

 Cute candy cane envelope holder.  Oooh, Jillibean buttons too!

 You can't see it but we'll be using foam squares to most cards to add more texture.

It's Friday! News and a Pink Giveaway!

I'm sure most of you know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  This is a month where major breast cancer charities want to increase awareness about the disease as well as raise additional funds for research.  If I had to guess, I would say every single one of our blog readers has been touched by someone with breast cancer - maybe even the reader themself.  My maternal Aunt passed away at 66 with breast cancer that was not caught soon enough and had matastasized.  I've already had my first baseline mammogram (before 40) and will continue to have them.  I invite all of blog readers to read up on this horrible disease and make sure you're proactive in your care. 

With that said, I want to honor this month with sharing some of my favorite pink projects as well as sharing a giveaway from our friends at A Jillian Vance Design!

That was fun reminiscing through so many great projects!!! 

Now I want to introduce you to some new friends!  Jillian Vance is a 12 yr old (yep, that's right, 12)that designs stamps and sells them at A Jillian Vance Design.  She's native to Ohio and we've met several times out and about in the scrapbooking world.  Jillian and her Mom have been very kind in offering a special Ink Pink set for us to GIVEAWAY!  They've combined specially designed breast cancer stamps, a pink block, pear pins and charms and rinkle ribbon in this Ink Pink set!  Also, they will donate $3 from each set sold to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.

Soup Spotting 8.19.11

Good morning!  And, ugh.  I just realized that October is half over.  Yikes!  Good thing I put up my Halloween tree.  Yep, that's right.  A Halloween tree.  First time ever for my house.  I used my beautiful white Christmas tree and filled it up with pumpkin lanterns and tarantulas.  I may just have to leave it out and be ahead of schedule for Christmas!:)  So, on with the soup spotting!  Today, I'll show you some great layouts inspired by Julie Bonner's sketch on facebook.
