I mentioned on Wed that our next sneak peek would include Dutch Mustard Soup. I hope our Dutch friends are ok with it. ;) As many of you know I had the opportunity to teach in the Netherlands last fall for a great store named Paper & Pictures in Doorn! I know you guys are all thinking this was inspired from that trip - unfortunately no. Sorry girls. It's actually inspired by a wallet I have from Fossil. I love Fossil products! I love the browns, greens, yellows and oranges that they use in their fabrics - imagine that! ;) Anyhow, my wallet has those colors so I started to pull some basic designs together. Normally I like to have a "focus page" within the collection that I work off of (in Spotted Owls - it's the owls, in Blossom - it's the bikes)...with Dutch Mustard I really didn't have that until we had the hearts. I worked backwards on this collection which was something new for me. Thank goodness Laina has patience and really worked with me to get what ends up being one of my favorite collections. I knew I wanted to use the word "Mustard" in the collection because of the yellows so I started googling "Mustard Soup". Low and behold - there's a Dutch Mustard Soup! DT member Ingrid Danvers has told us it's yummy!
Soooo, without further adieu...
Here's another adorable card from Kimber using Dutch Mustard:
You know the drill, if you're interested in winning Dutch Mustard Soup (it's just fun saying the name) before you can buy it, then leave a comment here on the blog! We'll pick a winner Monday morning!
Have a great weekend! I get to play with new product tomorrow, woo hoo!
I love it - and keep saying "Dutch Mustard Soup" to my kids, now they're looking at me funny lol
have a great weekend
