Happy and great Monday morning! Today, we are super excited to have Vicki Boutin has our guest designer joining us for November.
Vicki has loved making pretty things since she was a little girl. With a background in fine arts and graphic design she was always searching for a creative outlet that was a good fit. She finally found it in the world of paper crafting after the birth of her first child 10 years ago. She hasn’t looked back since!
In 2006 Vicki became a Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame winner and went on to be part of Better Homes and Gardens Scrapbooks Etc’s Creative Team. Her work is currently published in a quarterly article for Scrapbooks and Cards, Today magazine. Vicki is also a Ranger Certified instructor.
Vicki is always on a mission to learn something new and then find a way to share it! That is where teaching comes in. She has taught workshops in the United States, Canada and Europe and loves to approach art in a fun, fresh and accessible way. Her motto is “Try anything once. You won’t know if it’s your style unless you try it!” Her workshops offer an opportunity to meet new friends, try new things and most of all have FUN!!!
Vicki’s first book Creative Foundations hit stores in January 2012 and is jam packed with techniques and ideas to jump start readers creativity. Look for it at your local book store or online at your favorite book vendor.
You can follow Vicki on her blog.
Vicki is a huge fan of Jillibean Soup! She remembered when Jill debuted at CHA in that awesome corrugated metal booth...she was hooked. So she is beyond happy to be a guest designer for November. She has a big thing for minibooks and decided that's what she wanted to whip up with the box of goodies that arrived from Jillibean.
With December around the corner she thought she would get ahead of the game for once and create a book to showcase a few of the traditions her family has leading up to Christmas.
Today she has a bunch of photos showing the album and the interior photos. She will be back later this month to show us how she added a few techniques.
In order to get the more photos in the book, she added fold out pages.
She is so excited to have a book that she can add photos of her family to get ready for December 25th! She thanks Jillibean for making products that are down right perfect for projects just like this one! She'll be back with more details and tidbits on how she added the glitter and altered the cardboard pieces.
Thanks so much and have a great day!
Welcome Ms. Vicki!!! Love the mini book ! Can't wait to see what else you have in store !

With that kind of designs, you should be guest posting here more often. :) Thanks for the share of your lovely work. It's really a privilege to see some of these posted on here. What a great creative mind.
