Hello Friday!
Hope you had a good week - the weather has been crazy here in Ohio. First 60 degree days that make the spring flowers start their growth, now snow. I really enjoy the seasons - otherwise I think I would move south.
I've got a couple of things to share with you today!
First up, Laina Lamb was guest blogging (not actually a guest - she's on the Dream Team) on the Creating Keepsakes blog yesterday. It's a great post about diecut paper. Many of you have asked to see how our "Placemats" are used. Head on over and check it out! Click here. There may be a givaway waiting too!
Next up, have you seen the Card Kitchen kit this month? I have to say (even though it's not Jillibean paper) I LOVE the Pebbles Family Ties paper collection! The February kit has a 6x6 pad in it - perfect for cards. Oh, and I've seen the cards that Kimber did this month - they are ADORABLE!
We still have a couple January kits available if you need some cute Valentine's cards. Amy Sheffer has come on board as a design team member - she does fantastic work!
Head on over and check out more Card goodness! Click here.
Next, we have 9,781 Facebook Fans (THANKYOU)... I would LOVE to hit 10,000 next week. Tell your friends to "like" us and leave a comment that you did so - we'll do a GIVEAWAY at 10,000 friends!!!
Finally, I think I mentioned a GIVEAWAY today! I have a "fat pack" to GIVEAWAY! Do you know what a fat pack is? It's a pack of paper that includes 1 of each of the new products released at CHA - wow! The only time "fat" is good! :) Well, to win this fat pack - leave a comment below about Designer Challenges for the design team. Every month we do a designer challenge - it could be about a specific product, using a quote on a page or using a room for inspiration. I need some help with some new challenges.
Thanks in advance! I'm sure you guys will give me some good ideas!
Have a great weekend!
I would love to see some layouts or cards with owls on them. I love owls and they are so fun to be creative with. So many sayings and ideas! They seem to be a hot trend right now.

I like to see challenges where they use certain number of photos, color schemes, or maybe using scraps from their stash?

Crazy weather here in Michigan too! Would love to see a challenge using scraps! Thanks for the chance to win!

I would like to see a design challenge where the only element used was different papers. I also like the idea of certain color schemes. Thanks for the chance to win a fat pack.

Family is what keeps me from moving south away from these cold cold Wisconsin winters, or I'd be there! How about a challenge making some home decor? Thanks for the education on what a fat pack is. Hope to actually see one in person!

How about a 2 page layout using different background papers (from different collections).

The Card Kitchen kit is gorgeous-and for the DT-I love seeing what they do with sketches-and maybe a color challenge?
Posted by: Margie Visnick | February 01, 2013 at 08:44 AM
Love sketches - would love to see some layouts created by the designers using a specific sketch. I love to see how differently people interpret a sketch.

I love fun and quirky requirements like use the color blue, can't use yellow, add a flower, etc. Also some recycle project, turning junk to treasures!

i always wind up forgetting to get more masculine papers when i shop. I would love to see some layouts using feminine looking papers for masculine layouts.

What a great giveaway! Phantastic! I want a challenge to use selfmade flowers on the projects.

Thank you for the chance to win! I would love to see challenges which include mixing old lines with new ones.

I love the color challenges. Or a Pinterest challenge? Scraplift. The "recipe" challenges are always a hoot; seeing how we all interpret the instructions differently. Don't show the DT results until a few days after the instruction reveal so we aren't biased. My thoughts.

I would love to see an 'outside the box' challenge. Usually I would associate Jillibean Soup with a clean and colourful style, but your collecions would be perfect for the more distressed, vintage look too. I would love to see that :)
Thank you so much for the chance to win!

Thank you for the amazing give-away! As a new fan (discovered you through Moxie Fab's CHA 'reports') and what a delight it's been to explore your site. Amazing projects! As a card-maker, I'd like to see challenges that are a combination of color/pattern and words/themes . For instance, yellow and smile; polka-dots and flowers; triangles and butterflies (hmmm...not sure where that came from). You've received some great ideas from others; whatever you choose will be fun, and challenging!

Would love to win! Thanks for the chance!
I have a quote I pinned on Pinterest that says, "I never knew how much I loved your daddy, until I saw how he loved you." that I am totally going to scrap!
Love sketches and scraplift challenges too!

Recipe pages/cards are always fun! You have to be really creative and think outside the box. And 'recipe' is perfect for Jillibean Soup! :)

I hate to waste but struggle using my scraps. Would love to see that put to use.

How about using one's laundry room for a challenge?
