Happy Friday! It's Good Friday for those of you that celebrate Easter. Do you have any plans for the weekend? We are headed to Indiana for an egg hunt and some time with Grandparents.
THANK YOU to EVERYONE that stopped by our booth at the Columbus Expo, stopped by the Warehouse Sale or purchased online last weekend! We had a busy, busy weekend but it was great to see/meet many of you! I think Patty is just about done with all the online orders so hopefully you'll be receiving them soon!
Today, I have more Designer Challenge projects for you. If you'll recall, this months Challenge was to use as much Jillibean Soup on a project as possible (and still have it look good :)). We've seen some pretty fabulous projects thus far and today I have a couple more...
How to Be Happy by Emily Pitts
Emily's decided not to use tons of patterned papers but instead use lots of different types of Jillibean products… papers, Placemats, buttons, Corrugated Alphas, Felt Blossoms, Sugar Picks, Soup Labels, stickers, Bakers Twine, Kraft tags, Hexies, Alphabeans, stamps and more!
Emily did a Fantastic job of joining the "old" with the "new". Kraft items can go with anything – pull them from your stash to “ground” your projects. Emily worked lots of great colored embellishments on her layout as well… just BEAUTIFUL!
The Longest Lashes by Pam Brown
Pam used the new Placemats to showcase 19 different Jillibean patterned papers from 10 different collections and look how well the go together! Pam pulled more primary colors together to make this FABULOUS layout! I love how bright and cheery it is! She also included Alphabeans, Pea Pod parts, Bakers Twine and Wise Words. Maybe we should have Pam show us all how to cut the perfect circles to fit inside the Placemats!
You Love Life by Melinda Spinks
Melinda did something completely different and did an "ombre" effect with Jillibean papers - very cool! She pulled papers from 9 different collections and pulled out the yellows, grays and some blues. I'm wondering how long it took her to figure out how many squares she needed, figure out the placement of the squares and punch out all the tiny hearts!!! Simply AMAZING!!!
3rd Times a Charm by Jenifer Harkin
Jen used her photo (colorful wig) to pull out some color combinations that one might not ever consider. Like Emily, Jen pulled some "oldies" from her stash. I can pick out papers from the first Soup Staples, Pasta Fagioli, Homemade 6 Bean, Apple Cheddar - I think Jen went through her scraps :) And look, the "oldies" still work with the new collections! Jen created an ADORABLE banner to showcase the different papers and well as work strips of them into her photo/journaling. So CUTE!
Oh, and I think I mentioned a GIVEAWAY!!!! We haven't done one in quite some time and now that we have all the NEW products, I think we should do one today!
Spring is here (by date) but not quite by the temperature outside (in Ohio anyhow)... what's your favorite thing to scrap during spring? Easter pages, Easter cards, first blooms, spring sports... what gets you going in Spring? I could use a little nudge. Leave a comment below and we'll pick a winner next week to win Irish Farmhouse Stew and some Wise Words... good prize, I would want to win this!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Holy Moley--those are GORGEOUS projects!!!!!
During Spring, my fave is to scrap layouts of the season, the weather changes, with my kids being part of the process.

Eeek! So many gorgeous pages! Beautiful work, ladies! Emily's has got to be one of my all-time faves!
Believe it or not, one of my favorite things to scrap in spring is Christmas pictures. I think it's long enough after Christmas to take on the daunting task of sorting the hundreds of pics but still soon enough to remember all the exciting details ;).

I love flowers so those are a must. This Spring I've been taking pics of things just about to bloom so that'll be fun to scrap too. Of course the boy hunting eggs is always fun.

Love the layouts shown today. I love your new large die cuts. And I am in complete awe of Melinda's page. I first thought that was a paper I hadn't seen but when I realized that it was all individual squares put together in that way?? Holy cow! Love! I never seem to be scrapping the seasons at the right time since I've always scrapped chronologically but this last year I stepped out and started scrapping anything I wanted so I am excited to scrap some fabulous pics I have of the Cherry blossoms in DC.

I love to scrap my daughters in their Easter dresses, and this is also the time of year when soccer starts up. By the way, spring has not sprung yet in Michigan either. We still have snow in our yard. :(. Good thing I have happy scrap supplies to look at!
