Hey Everyone! Welcome to the Creative Spaces Volume 3 Blog Hop! Thanks for stopping by!
Jill here and guess what? I recently had my scrappy space featured by Paper Crafts in their latest issue of Creative Spaces! So exciting!
I have some photos from the shoot as well as photos from the room to share. A couple notes about the room - it's a shared scrappy space along with my home office for Jillibean. It's a small room so I needed to make the most of the space that's there. I decided to work the space "up" because that's all the space I have. I (hubby) installed organized shelving from Home Depot. The glass top desk is from IKEA. My work desk is old and from Pottery Barn.. it's actually 2 file cabinets with a piece of painted mdf to serve as the desk top. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I'll tell ya some more as we go through some photos..
Symoni Johnson was the photographer that came with editor Jennifer Schaerer to the house. Yes, I was nervous about having them at the house. Felt like everything (not just my room) needed to be in tip top shape. :)
Here she is setting up all sorts of little vignettes. I was amazed at every little detail. She even turned one of the lids on my jars "just so" to get it to photograph correctly.
Here's more shots of the room..
Photos from all around the room. Remember, I said it was small. The interesting thing is that the chocolate brown paint does not make it look smaller like you think. All the white furniture really balances it out. I love all the color in this room and it makes me want to create! The big brown cabinet with all the drawers is one of the newer items in the room - love all the drawers!!!
You had me a galvanized.. I love metal - kind of obsessed. This tiered galvanized holder holds lots of goodies and turns around so I can see everything.
I collect a lot of vintage items - you can see that in the room. I love these drawers that hold lots of stickers. They sit on top of the desk for easy access.
With the shelving and organizers, I purchased baskets that will pull forward to see what's in them. I keep ribbon in one and other embellies in the other. Again, easy access. You'll notice I like to see stuff too - not too much hidden and out of sight.
Probably my favorite thing in the room. Love this sign. Purchased it on Etsy.
I'm obsessed with collecting "Ys" too!
This fun little vintage tin holds all sorts of bits and pieces from crops and scrapping. I pull it out to make cards - usually can find fun little pieces.
Ok, I know you have lots of other spaces to look at! Make sure to pick up a copy of Creative Spaces, Volume 3 from Papercrafts!
OK, off to do more hopping!

Love the galvanized metal turn table feature- fantastic. I too have a small storage space and can appreciate your vertical storage. Your space seems the most down-to-earth real of all the ones visited so far. I really appreciate that. It gives me hope that my space might inspire someone too.
