Good morning Jillibean Soup fans! I am excited to be here on the blog today with a fun holiday project!
This is such a fun project to make! I cut 24 boxes out on my digital cutting machine using various Jillibean Soup papers - both holiday and non-holiday patterns! To create boxes of different sizes, I adjusted the box template to different sizes in my digital cutting machine software.
Once they were all cut up and assembled into box shape, I lined up all the empty and plain boxes in a row to see how they would look side by side, varying up the size of the box and the pattern of the paper.
Next, I grabbed some plain cardstock and trimmed some strips of paper to use as bands on most of the boxes. This neutral color helps unify some of the more simple patterns and calms down a busier patterned paper. I wrapped the strips around some of the boxes and simply stapled the ends with my stapler.
Now, it's time to play! I sorted through my stash and found a lot of my favorite Jillibean Soup embellishments that would work to decorate each of the boxes. There are a lot of great Jillibean embellishments that would easily decorate the boxes. Think kraft tags, kraft numbers, Party Playground fringe and pom pom garland, pea pod parts, stickers...the list is endless! Here are a few that I grabbed for my boxes:
This if where the begins! Time to decorate each of the boxes until I was happy with them. You can go heavy or light with the embellishments! I added some wood snowflakes from my stash to a few of the boxes.
I went in order from 1-24 to make sure I didn't miss a number:) The boxes look so pretty all lined up and ready to be filled with treats for my family!
