Sometimes a project needs a little inspiration to get a kick start. Often it is just one simple image that can kick our creativity in a new direction. Designer Nicole Nowosad was inspired by this photo backdrop image to create the strips along the edge of her page design! She used several patterns of paper from the Rainbow Roux collection to frame along two edges of her design and added a ton of fussy cut flowers to the center of her page, to help center her photo. We love the bold title using the foam stickers in the Rainbow Roux collection, combined with a sticker from the Coordinating sticker sheet!
Challenge #2: Create a layout of your own using this inspiration piece as a jumping off point! We hope you are inspired to use this image to create a project of your own too! We can’t wait to see how you will be inspired!

For the yellow distress ink: sponged on plus splattered - how exactly did she do the splatter? With a spritzer? Or something else?

Hi Lynne - I rubbed the ink on an acetate sheet and added a small amount of water. I used a round paintbrush and tapped small droplets onto the page and let dry.

Great layout inspiration!! This page came together quickly and i was inspired by the small strips on the side, the stitching, the black title under the photo, so much cuteness!
