One thing that I love to use on my layouts are the big open cut files. I love to use these as a big focus of my layouts. I usually size them about 10 ½ wide so that leaves me room to add a nice border around my page. For this layout I am using the Jillibean Soup Heart Wreath cut file from the Silhouette Design Studio.
I cut the file out on some white cardstock and backed it with a mix of papers from You Make Miso Happy and Rainbow Roux. I love that I can mix products from the collections and they go perfectly together. I pulled out a pieces of white cardstock and trimmed it down to 11.50 x 11.50 and matted it on a piece of 12x12 pattern paper from You Make Miso Happy. I ran this through my sewing machine so I could add some texture around the white piece of cardstock.
It always makes me happy to have a punch of black on my pages and I love that some of the Jillibean Soup collections have touches of black in them! I added foam tape all around the back of the cut file to add some height to the cut file. My two photos are printed in black and white and are of my little Liam Jay and I at the park. I love that he reaches up and grabs my finger so we can hold hands. I embellished around the layout with some pea pod parts, cardstock stickers and epoxy stickers. For my title I pulled out one of the foam stickers in black. Here is a look at my completed layout.
