Hello and Merry Christmas Eve! Amy Sheffer here with some holiday table decorations. I love being able to use my papercrafting supplies for home decor. In today’s video I’ll be showing how I made the accordion-fold tree placecard, along with an idea for styling a simple basket centerpiece and a festive Merry Christmas garland.
First up is this accordian-fold tree. I started with eight tree diecuts using the tree die from Winter Wishes and pattern paper from Garden Harvest. I adhered them together accordion-style, then placed a dowel rod through the center for the tree trunk.
The tree sits in a birch wood slice and is topped with a wood veneer star. To turn this into a place card, I added a tiny kraft jewelry tag for the person’s name.
Supplies
Jillibean Soup
Shaker Clear Stamps & Dies: Winter Wishes
Patterned Paper: Garden Harvest/Reap the Grain
Shaker Filler: Wood Veneer Stars
Tag: Jewelry Kraft
Other: birch slice, dowel rod, hot glue.
Next, I’ve dressed up a simple basket for the holidays by adding some buffalo plaid ribbon and a twill tree accent. The tree is in three layers - card stock for support, then two layers of twill fabric.
I stitched the trees together through the center, then separated the layers for some dimension. I love how the slight fraying at the edges of the twill adds to the rustic charm!
Supplies:
Jillibean Soup
Shaker Clear Stamps & Dies: Winter Wishes
Other: basket, greens, ribbon, button, card stock, twill fabric.
Last up is a Merry Christmas garland made out of diecut circles, letter stickers, twill tape, and lots of buttons.
