Hello Jillibean Soup friends! Marcia here today. Now that Christmas is over, I wanted to show you a winter pallet sign idea for your front porch. I love decorating my front porch. It's the first thing people see when they come to visit so I like to make an impression. I think this beautiful pallet sign does just that.
The base of this sign was made from a pallet that I painted white. Because the wood is rough, vinyl does not stick to it well. I opted to stenciled Hello Winter in the middle of it with a metallic gold chalk paint. I created my own stencil by cutting the Jillibean Soup Hello Winter cut file out of Oracal vinyl. When stenciling, tap the brush up and down. Do not brush it side to side or the paint may seep underneath the stencil.
I found a gorgeous wreath at JoAnn Fabrics and with all the white embellishments, it reminded me of winter. I attached it to my pallet sign with some white and black Buffalo plaid ribbon. Then I added a big bow using the same ribbon. The final touch was to add a few white birds to the wreath.
