A Mini Mini Album

Hello crafty friends! Patty here and today we plan to share some love for Grandparents with a very mini, mini album. In fact this mini was made from just one sheet of paper, foam stickers, coordinating stickers, bakers twine, a book ring and 4 photos. That interprets as quick and easy in crafters terms, however, big on love for a special grandparent. We have been continuing our #giveback2020 journey and grandparents rank high on my list- so here we are! Is there a grandparent you know that could use some extra love and recognition? This would be a perfect project for them!

The mini album goes together very easily, step one cut out tags from the Rainbow Roux Bite Size Bits for your pages. Mix and match them however you like, choosing which ones you like best and which colors you prefer- there are several to choose from.  Next step, layout your photos and cut them down to fit the tag pages. Hole punch each tag and add to book ring. Then add stickers and embellishments to dress up each page. Last create a baker’s twine tassel to complete the look in whatever color you prefer.

Mini Album

Greetings Jillibean friends, Patty Folchert here with you today to share a memorial mini album. At the end of the year my daughter lost her grandmother, it was sudden and unexpected, and the family has been struggling to adjust. In an effort to help her cope I created a mini album with some of her favorite photos of her grandmother and a few moments captured of them together. Hoping to make it more personal I added some journaling to the front cover. I asked my daughter to give me 10 memories of her grandmother that made her smile, knowing that it will be comforting to her in the future.

The album itself was inspired by a post I saw online by “steffiried”. I made the album from 2 sheets of coordinating paper, bakers twine, and 2 eyelets.  This style allowed for pages to be any shape and several sizes the only requirement was needing a hole punched in the top of each to feed through the baker’s twine that attaches it into the album. So the pages are then easily flipped up to view.

What makes the mini unique are the cut files that I used. These are all available on Silhouette and are actual Jillibean Soup cut files, each is listed in the materials list below. They add a delicate beauty that really enhanced the overall look of the album.

I was pleased with how the album turned out, this collection is so beautiful, and the sentiments were so perfect for a memorial. The result is truly a celebration of her relationship with my daughter and a lovely tribute for her to treasure for years to come.

Christmas Mini Album

Merry Christmas to you all Jillibean Fans, Anna here! We had our big day yesterday, on Christmas Eve on December 24th, so Christmas Day is a cozy day, made for reading, playing board games and maybe, if I’m lucky, scrapbooking.

Today I’ll share a Mini Album with some December memories. The pages are double folded papers from the All About Plaid Paper Pad.

Design tip: Adding kraft tags gives the album a rustic feeling together with the plaid pattern.

Winter Joy Mini Album

There are some holiday traditions that translate so well into a mini album. This trip to the Christmas tree farm is just one of those special occasions. We had never taken our son to get a real tree before, so it was quite the adventure. To keep the mini album relevant for any winter activity I steered clear of the traditional Christmas colors and chose a cool palette of black, white, grey, blues and greens. The other fun aspect of this mini album is how many different Jillibean Soup collections I mixed. There are papers from the 2 paper pads both plaid and dots and four other collections, it is just so cool how easily they mix and match. Some Holiday shaker items were thrown in for fun and presto a winter themed mini album is created. The cover is always the toughest to decide on, but the snowman holiday shaker was an easy choice with some glittery snow inspired fillers. The foam sticker Joy was perfect for the cover as well. There is some hand-stitching in black embroidery floss on the front to add some texture and dimension. The two ribbons tied together in a bow were the finishing touch for the cover.

The inner pages were cut to fit the chipboard tab album in coordinating patterned papers with just a few embellishments here and there. Some photos were matted and some were not. There are also 3 loose tags in the album, allowing for a few mini photos on the back side. The album is all about telling the story of the day and not anything too fancy. The journaling was typed and printed out from the computer onto white cardstock and cut into strips.

Anniversary Scrapbooking Mini Album

A great way to commemorate a special event is to make a mini album. Today’s mini album was created to celebrate our Anniversary Weekend last fall. We got the chance to explore southern Ohio near Portsmouth and so many moments were captured from our adventures. Lots of photos translates into perfect mini album opportunity. To keep things simple I left all the photos either 4x6 or 4x4 and I used a Stampin Up 6x6 album. Knowing that there were more photos than pages I decided to get creative with how I used the photo sleeves. Instead of sliding the pages into the sleeves I mounted them on the outside of the sleeves leaving the inside of the sleeves to use as pockets for extra foldouts featuring you guessed it, more photos! The Spoonful of Soul collection actually worked really well with my fall photos and the embellishments were the icing on the cake. So dive in and take a peek, I see a mini album in your near future!

A Mini Album You Need To Make!

Hello Jillibean Fans! Today I will show you a super quick and super cute Mini Album. I have used the Bite Size Bits paper from the You Make Miso Happy collection to make the base to the Mini Album. I cut the paper into 3x4  pieces, folded them and adhered them together with strips of patterned paper. I added washi strips, stickers and some Pea Pod Parts and the Mini Album is done.

How to Create a Spoonful of Soul Mini Album

Have you ever had a moment while scrapping when you discovered a paper collection that perfectly matched the photos you wanted to use? That is exactly what happened with this mini album and the new Spoonful of Soul collection. However, a goal was to keep the mini album a bit generic so that if someone wanted to recreate it then it could be used for any occasion, not just for a new baby. This mini album began with a Canvas Maya Road album and was filled with the lovely new Spoonful of Soul papers and embellishments. With the photos selected the next step was to build the pages using a lot of bite size bits and pea pod parts. On the cover a lot of layering was done including some hand-stitching and buttons for a string closure. Even the inner covers were covered with papers for extra impact. How to Choose a Theme for a Scrapbooking Mini Album

It’s time to capture new sea and lake memories so Anna wanted to take some of her seaside photos from last summer and put them in a mini album. Her choice fell on the Spoonful of Soul collection that has the perfect colors to those warm days that we had last summer.

The sticker ”The story starts here” is great for a first page of a mini album.

She used the Die Cut Tag as a template and made six tags for the six photos inside. Each photo was matched with a piece of washi, a piece of patterned paper and just a few embellishments. There are some beautiful sayings like ”You make my soul happy” in the Pea Pod Part pack that goes well in a mini album with happy memories.

Rainbow Roux Mini Album

Hello, Patty here today with a fun new Rainbow Roux mini album with a twist. Have you ever wondered what our pets would scrapbook given the chance? This mini album is “written” from a dog’s point of view. It features our colorful new Rainbow Roux collection paired up with a very photogenic Dalmatian mix named Chloey. You see Chloey is my daughters’ dog and she is super sweet and poses for the best photos. So I wanted to make a mini album for my daughter using these fab photos and this collection was perfect. I gathered up the photos and built my pages with Rainbow Roux paper and lots of new embellishments including: pea pods, washi stickers, epoxy stickers and foam stickers. Then I typed up the journaling from the dog’s perspective and added it to the appropriate pages. Take a look and see what you think.

Aren’t they so cute together? I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this new collection, it went together so easily and the rainbow colors just make my heart happy! Do you know anyone who would love a pet themed album like this? It could easily be adapted for any type of pet. I was thinking I would even save this gift for Mother’s Day for my daughter, because she is a fur baby mama of course. Thanks for joining me today!
