Hello Jillibean Soup friends! Marcia here today. One of the newer Jillibean Soup cut files caught my eye the other day… it’s the “Live Like Someone Left The Gate Open”. This cut file reminded me of my Dad. He grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota. As a little boy, one of his tasks was to bring the cows from the pasture across the road, home to the barn for milking. Leaving a gate open meant he had to go look for cows who thought the pastures looked greener elsewhere. I decided to put the quote on a rustic white sign using a brown matte vinyl and gift it to my Dad who will be celebrating 79 years today!
I think this sign will put a smile on my Dad’s face. His mind is not so great anymore. On good days he likes to talk about the dairy farm he grew up on. He lives like someone left the gate open. Even at 79 he is always up for an adventure … or maybe he just likes getting out of the house, lol. He never says no to an offer to go out somewhere. Since he willingly gave up his car keys a few years ago, he is dependent on family and friends to take him places.
